On the strength of knowledge, experiences, and principles of traditional Chinese medicine, the Graduate Institute of Chinese Medicine, Graduate Institute of Natural Products, and School of Chinese Medicine integrate modern scientific research techniques and methods to develop traditional medicines and natural products. The departments combine experts in biopharmaceutics, natural product chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and biochemistry to create a research team with integrated technology. In addition, the departments also conduct research studies in coordination with Chang Gung Memorial Hospital to establish a comprehensive center for research and development of traditional medicine and natural products and to explore the integration features of human health and diseases for research projects and clinical applications.
